Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. If you’re feeling unsure or nervous, that’s completely normal. Reaching out is often the hardest part — and it’s also a meaningful first step toward caring for yourself.
After scheduling a consultation or requesting an appointment, you’ll complete a few intake forms through a secure online portal before we meet.
Our first session focuses on:
-Understanding what brings you in
- Identifying current stressors
- Reviewing history that feels relevant
- Clarifying your goals
You are never expected to share more than you feel ready to.
Sessions are 50 minutes and typically held weekly or biweekly.
In sessions, we may:
-Explore patterns
-Practice new skills
-Challenge unhelpful thought patterns
-Process emotional experiences
-Develop practical coping strategies
Therapy is collaborative. You will always be part of deciding what feels most helpful.
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable — but it can also be the first step toward feeling more grounded, clear, and supported
The first few sessions are also a chance for both of us to determine whether working together feels like the right fit. .
